Gerhart, which means "Brave heart," is a new age classic rock band hailing from Dyer, Indiana. The band consists of Kevin Badten (Lead vocals, Bass), Nick Smith (drums), and Drew Burrell (guitar, back up vocals). Founded in 2011 while still in their teens, Gerhart quickly gained recognition by winning several "Battle of the Bands" in the region and receiving praise from various media outlets, including X-Rock correspondent Tom Lounges. Their music has been featured in publications such as The Times, Tribune, NWI Entertainer, NWI Musicians, and Region Music. Additionally, they have made guest appearances on numerous radio stations in Northwest Indiana. They were also featured in the show "Night of the Living Jam." Gerhart regularly performs at various establishments, festivals, fairs, and benefits throughout the region. They have had the honor of playing at the Chicago Congress Theater and have opened for notable bands like Alice in Chains and Black Label Society on two occasions at the amphitheater "The Rave." The band covers a wide array of classic rock favorites from the 60s to the present.
